DMCA Copyright Policy

Last Updated: September 30, 2026

RK Downloader respects the intellectual property rights of content creators, rights holders, artists, and digital copyright owners. It is our policy to respond expeditiously to legitimate notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with Title 17, United States Code, Section 512 (the "Digital Millennium Copyright Act" or "DMCA").

This page outlines our non-hosting technical architecture, statutory notice requirements for rights owners, and formal takedown procedures.

1. Nature of Service & Zero-Hosting Architecture

Important Technical Clarification

RK Downloader does NOT host, upload, mirror, index, or store any copyright-protected media files on our servers.

RK Downloader is a client-side software tool and browser extension utility designed exclusively for legitimate content subscribers to download and archive media for personal, offline viewing.

  • Direct CDN Streaming: When an authorized subscriber initiates a download, media data is streamed and decrypted directly from the third-party platform's Content Delivery Network (CDN) to the user's private local storage device.
  • No Public Distribution: We do not operate a search engine, public directory, file indexing service, or media hosting repository.
  • No Independent Content Access: Our tools cannot bypass account paywalls or grant unauthorized access to locked content to which the user does not possess a valid, paid subscription.

2. Submitting a Valid DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied, indexed, or infringed in a manner accessible via our platform or applications, please submit a written notification containing all statutory requirements pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):

  1. Signature: A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of Work: Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered, a representative list.
  3. Location of Material: Identification of the specific material or URL that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed or disabled.
  4. Contact Details: Sufficient contact details for the complaining party, including legal name, physical address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. Good Faith Statement: A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Penalty of Perjury Statement: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right.

A valid counter-notification must contain the user's physical or electronic signature, identification of the material that was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury of good faith belief of mistake, and consent to federal court jurisdiction.

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

In compliance with Section 512(i) of the DMCA, RK Downloader reserves the right to terminate, disable, or suspend the accounts and access rights of any subscriber who is found to repeatedly violate the intellectual property rights of others.

6. Misrepresentations Under Section 512(f)

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to severe liability for damages, including legal fees and court costs incurred by the alleged infringer, copyright owner, or service provider.
